Analysis of national teams matches using a filter for similar opponents

Among other things, national team matches are also distinguished by a wide range of opponents. That is, a statistically average team has to play both with top teams like France, Brazil, England, etc., and with very weak ones like San Marino or Andorra.

The team's playing style against opponents of different strengths will be very different, and accordingly, at the outcome we will get are very different statistics. In other words, there is no point in looking at Portugal's statistics against strong teams like Italy or England if today they are playing against a weak team like Ireland.

To study the team’s statistics in matches with opponents approximately equal in strength to the current one, you need to use the Similar matches filter on the Corner-stats.com website (Similar matches tab on the match page). Please note that statistics in similar matches can be displayed both for the main result and for corners, cards, fouls, etc.
